Review:

Since the beginning of my cinema life I’ve been a Godzilla fan. Godzilla X Kong: The New Empire from the beginning trailers I wasn’t expecting too much.I was actually going to pass on the movie. But after seeing minus 1 My thirst for the king of the monsters was at an all time high. Nuzzling into the seat with my popcorn and soda at hand. I began the Journey of what this movie was unfolding. After the adventure I was left wanting more of a villain.

Warner Bros

Scar was very lack luster. Scar didn’t give off the vibe of a real threat. Not very threatening, using others to do his bidding. He barely could fight Kong one on one.

Kong on the other hand is the lead of the movie. Very entertaining seeing him explore his past and watching him find himself with young scar Suko. The power glove is a great gimmick tool but seems a bit off in the setting.

Godzilla first appears rampaging all over the planet preparing for a battle absorbing powers from all over the globe. This confuses me because it’s not needed later in the film. The payoff isn’t there. The 2v2 battle of kong and Godzilla vs Scar an Shimu comes off weak and lacking for all purposes. In the end I’ll give Godzilla X Kong: The New Empire a 3.8 out of 5. Great sound and action. But lacks a True Villain.
