Code of Conduct

All Very Unreal members are expected to read and follow this Code of Conduct, all platform terms of service, and must uphold this Code of Conduct at all times.

Members must respect other gamers, including members and non-members. This includes, but is not limited to, discrimination based on race, age, sexual orientation, religion, affiliation, personal interests, or personal investments. Other forms of unacceptable conduct include, but are not limited to: trash talking, griefing, and flaming of any kind. All members are entitled to a professional level of fairness, and this is strictly enforced.

Never leave a fellow Very Unreal member behind. Do not leave a game, meeting, game night, tournament, or event with fellow members because you are losing, frustrated, or not playing well. This is considered 'leaving a man behind'.

Very Unreal does not condone coaxing members away from another clan, community, or organization for crisis, position, or recruitment purposes. If people wish to leave another community and you encourage them to do so, you will be held responsible. Additionally, members of other clans or communities is strictly prohibited. Additionally, recruits may not be recruited into any Very Unreal affiliates within 30 days of previous membership in any other community or clan.

Very Unreal members take pride in their membership inside the community and are encouraged, but not required, to change their gamertag to reflect an VU affiliation. Your community affiliation must always be in full caps.

Leaving the Very Unreal Discord is considered quitting. If this occurs, you have 24 hours to rejoin the Discord to retain your current membership. Once 24 hours have passed, you must start over as a new member.

All VU-affiliated members are entitled to the Open-Door Policy. The Open-Door Policy gives members the opportunity to reach out to a higher-ranking member with a question or issue that cannot be resolved within their immediate chain of command. Members are always provided the opportunity to approach any leader within the chain of command when possible.

All VU-affiliated leaders are expected to display proper conduct, leadership skills, and a high level of professionalism at all times.

All VU-affiliated members must maintain a professional demeanor and attitude during gameplay, in lobbies, during meetings, and while in party chats in order to represent and uphold a positive and respectful organization.

VU-affiliated members are not permitted to be part of any other clan, community, club, or outside organization while affiliated with Very Unreal.

If you are called to a party or contacted by a higher-ranking member, you must respond in a timely manner or the subject may be urgent. If you are able to leave a party to a senior member, you must do so immediately.

Any member who damages or destroys any material or non-material object, including intellectual property belonging to Very Unreal or its affiliates, whether intentional or not, may be held responsible to the fullest extent of the law.

Members are encouraged to attend a minimum of two meetings and two faction-based game nights, workshops, chill-outs, or social nights per month. This helps keep the community active and engaged.

Any and all forms of hacking, software alteration, cheating, exploitation, and illegal activities are strictly prohibited.

In addition to the Very Unreal Code of Conduct, each affiliate, sponsor, division, faction, or squad may have additional rules, standards, or requirements for their own members.
